Multi-space smart parking meters are being installed this week in two downtown Chico parking lots.
Four news credit card-capable multi-space meters will replace 340 single-space meters at the lots at East Second and Flume streets and East First and Wall streets.
The meters will still accept coins. Customers using credit cards will be charged 35 cents to cover the City’s processing costs.
